The tourism-reviving scheme Phuket Sandbox took off in early July, resulting in the influx of international holiday-makers back to Thailand's most popular vacation paradise. Due to the success of this travel initiative and in anticipation of the return of more tourists, Phuket is planning the comeback of more events and festivals.

First to officially make an announcement is the Thailand International Boat Show. After a two-year absence, its organizers JAND Events has pledged to host this massive showcase and has pinned down 6 to 9 January 2022 as the dates for the event. The show will likely be held at Royal Phuket Marina, Thailand's sole holder of the 5 Gold Anchor Award bestowed by the UK's The Yacht Harbour Association.

The Thailand International Boat Show aims to welcome "wealthy jet-setters" who live the high life and have more than a passing interest in boating. On display inside the 2,500-square-meter exhibition hall will be the latest vessels from the world's most iconic boat brands, as well as the latest boat tech, marine products and gadgets.

To inject a livelier atmosphere, the event will also gather an array of restaurants and bars on the boardwalk, and will host a variety of programs that even boating novices will enjoy.
