The Mid-Autumn mooncake business in Bangkok is massive, and we can't talk about it without mention the award-winning mooncakes from the Hong Kong-originated luxury hotel The Peninsula. For years, The Peninsula never disappoints to churn out custard-filled mooncakes made with organic eggs and quality ingredients. Created by the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong in 1986, its creamy indulgence is, we say, unmatched by other alternatives in the market. Rumor has it that The Peninsula Hotel Bangkok has sold several million pieces of these tiny custard mooncakes over the course of these past years.

Last year was the first time in the hotel's history the mooncake production was paused due to the coronavirus pandemic that forced the hotel to close temporarily.

Now, mooncake fans could now rejoice. The Peninsula Hotel Bangkok is bringing back its famed egg custard mooncakes, and now accepting pre-orders! A box of eight mooncakes is priced at B888, but the hotel is now offering a 15% off flash sale on Megatix at B750 net. The mooncakes will be available to pick up at the hotel's boutique from August 1.
