To celebrate this year's Vegetarian Festival, luxury hotel Mandarin Oriental has come up with a unique vegan afternoon tea set. All the plant-based and gluten-free delicacies are churned out by French executive pastry chef Pablo Giequel. The afternoon tea set comes with 13 savory and sweet treats. Highlights include vegan protein and vegan cheddar cheese puff, vegan bratwurst sausage with dijon mustard double-decker, “Calissons” almond cake with mandarin marmalade, Coconut snowball and sesame praline, and scones served with house-made jam and tofu cream.
Vegan and gluten-free afternoon tea set is priced at B1,767 with a choice of freshly brewed coffee or tea, and is available until October 7 at The Authors’ Lounge.
