Even though the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok remains closed to the public (and is set to reopen in June), its staffers are making their best efforts to provide support where they can to help COVID-fighting initiatives.
During these trying times from now until the end of June, the hotel's kitchen staffers led by award-winning Chef Arnaud Dunand Sauthier of two-Michelin-Starred Le Normandie are committed to preparing at least 700 meals a day to deliver to medical workers, who are working tirelessly days and nights to curb the coronavirus outbreak, through The Thai Red Cross Society at the Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. It is mentioned that the Thai Red Cross Society will also donate the meals to those in need.
Culinary masterminds joining Chef Arnaud in the good cause include Terrace Rim Naam's Chef Pom and the hotel's executive chef Dominique Bugnand. It is noted that all meals will be delivered in biodegradable containers.
