Like many establishments in the city, Chinese-themed riverside attraction Lhong 1919 went on a break for a few months because of the pandemic. But it’s now back in full force, with many new exciting add-ons to welcome back guests.
Two new establishments supervised by Bangkok’s renowned luxury hotels now feature at the compound. The first is Pagoda Chinese Tearoom, a spin-off of the signature Chinese restaurant at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park that specializes in hot premium brews. The Okura Prestige Bangkok now also has a presence along the river, opening up a café and bakery called Okura Oriental la Patisserie in Lhong 1919.
There are also cool new shops, like local art and craft store The Gallery and furniture and ornament store reConcept. A co-working space is set to open soon.
To officially welcome the arrival of the Year of the Tiger, Lhong 1919 will host a special event with many activities, including a Peking Opera performance, a worshipping ceremony for Mazu Goddess and a market.
