L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Bangkok to host funeral for the late “Chef of the Century”

Following the sad departure of Joël Robuchon, the French master chef who held the most Michelin stars from his globe-spanning culinary empire, at 73, the Bangkok outpost L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is set to hold the funeral service this Friday (17 August) at the Holy Redeemer Church in Soi Ruam Rudee.

Praised “the chef of the century” in 1990, Robuchon was celebrated for his vision, creativity, and playfulness that revolutionalized French haute-cuisine. His meticulous approach to mashed potato is deemed among world-renowned chefs and gourmands as the world’s best.

The funeral service will be held at 9:00 am and is open to the public.
