Drumroll, please! The stars are in! Michelin Guide Thailand has recently revealed its latest edition—the sixth for the country. This year, 41 stars went to 35 restaurants all across Thailand. A total of 40 stars were granted to dining venues in Bangkok, while one star was awarded to establishments in Phuket. No restaurant in Isaan, the northeast region which has been included in the guide for the first year, has been awarded a star.
First-timers on the list include Tam Chadari’s progressive Thai restaurant Baan Tepa in Ramkhamhaeng, Pam Pichaya’s Thai-Chinese culinary den Potong in Chinatown, Arnaud Dunand Sauthier’s newly-opened namesake French dining quarter in Sathorn, everyone’s favorite sustainable fine dining Haoma, and humble French restaurant Signature at Vie Hotel in Ratchathewi.
The 2023 Michelin Guide Thailand also has introduced two new awards: The Opening of the Year Award, which was awarded to Potong, and the Sommelier Award, which went to Mezzaluna’s wine master Guillaume Perdigue.
And sadly, Sawaan and Ginza Sushi Ichi were dropped from this year's list.
