The summer in Japan marks a highly anticipated music event that draws festivalgoers from around the world each year: the Summer Sonic. Established in 2000, this renowned music festival is held annually in Tokyo (in Chiba) and Osaka simultaneously. The upcoming Summer Sonic in Japan is scheduled for August 17-18.
For the first time in 23 years, the Summer Sonic Bangkok is set to take place on August 24-25, 2024, as announced by the organizer's CEO, Naoki Shimizu, in an online statement. The event aims to serve as a bridge connecting Japanese music to the global stage. The venue chosen is IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, possibly because it coincides with Thailand's rainy season.
