Last Monday (April 5), it was reported that Bangkok was once again labelled as a red-zoned area due to the resurgence of COVID-19 positive cases in Thonglor and other areas in the city. As a result, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) imposed an alcohol ban in restaurants and bars across the city to prevent the further spread.
Today (April 7), the Government Public Relations Department has revealed on its Facebook page here that Bangkok is not in the red zone. This means dining and drinking venues can now open to business as usual but still limited to operate until 23:00. In detail, alcoholic beverage serving together with live music performance is permitted, excluding dancing and mass gathering. Other sorts of venues like educational institutes and gyms are also allowed to open.
