Marriott Bonvoy has showcased the wonders of Vietnam’s central coast to some of Thailand’s top journalists and bloggers with a food-focused media trip to Danang. This four-day discovery invited Thai media to savor some of the region’s most engaging attractions and activities, including cultural discoveries and culinary experiences.

The journey commenced at Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Center, the five-star resort on Non Nuoc Beach which features 270 rooms & suites, six diverse dining venues, Vietnam’s longest infinity pool and more. Having been offered a warm welcome at the hotel, the group enjoyed lunch at La Plage Beachfront Restaurant before being taken on a tour of the resort. The opening day culminated with sundown cocktails on the outdoor deck of Tea Lounge, overlooking the ocean, followed by a welcome dinner by the beachside lawn, including a live barbecue and a variety of dishes from three the resort’s restaurants: Table 88, The Grill, and La Plage.

Following a bountiful breakfast at Table 88, the group embarked on a half-day tour to Ba Na Hills, home of the iconic Golden Bridge, elegant French-style villages and more. Here, the media were treated to lunch at Nu-Do Restaurant, which is owned by a Vietnamese master chef and specializes in Quang noodles, Danang’s local delicacy.

In the afternoon, the group was invited to take a tour of Four Points by Sheraton Danang, the impressive 390-key hotel that rises 36-stories in downtown Danang and commands panoramic views of the city and sea. The hotel also features a spa, rooftop pool, The Eatery restaurant and Horizon Bar, which set the scene for a spectacular sunset dinner at the end of day two, high above the busy city streets.

Day three was packed full of activities that showcased central Vietnam’s natural and culinary heritage. Having kickstarted the day with sunrise stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking or surfing sessions, the group savored breakfast at Table 88, before learning the art of making traditional Vietnamese coffee at the Tea Lounge.

Media were then transferred a short distance along the coast to Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, which features 239 rooms, suites and villas and a wealth of facilities including five F&B venues, an infinity pool, a spa, kids’ club and tennis court. Having been welcomed with a hotel tour and lunch at Madame Son, the signature French-Vietnam restaurant, the bloggers were invited to take part in two cultural activities: a Vietnamese spring roll making class at Goji Kitchen + Bar, and a coconut harvesting experience. Then on the final day, the group headed out on a bicycle tour to Marble Mountain, a captivating complex of limestone caves, Buddhist temples and more.
