After the sudden announcement of dine-in prohibition on April 29, restaurants across Bangkok has gone back to the challenging time again. One of the biggest challenges that come with the new regulation is the possibility that all fresh ingredients could go to waste.
Baan Ice and Sorn are the two restaurants that turn this crisis around with the current event, Farmers' Market by Baan Ice. Originated from the inability to serve in-house customers, the restaurants have decided to make use of the fresh ingredients they already have in store by rolling them out for sale. In addition, these foodstuffs in stock are also made into street food menus for takeaway like grilled king prawn, grilled abalone marinated with shrimp paste, and curry on rice. The event is also joined by local street food vendors.
