In our recent piece on the Time Out Index 2021, we revealed that Bangkok, out of 37 cities around the world, ranked the worst for green spaces and pollution. Well, things are about to get slightly better.

Local developer We!Park will soon unveil a new green spot next to Wat Hua Lamphong called Wat Hua Lamphong Rukkhaniwet Pocket Park. The project, which has been in development since December 2020, stands on what was once an abandoned plot of land that’s about two rai (3,200 square meters). The space is the first of four collaborative urban greening projects between the public and private sectors, and the general public.

The park features exercise machines, a small playground and benches amid lush greenery. You can support the project through this crowdfunding campaign.
