Expats residing in Thailand can now register to get COVID-19 vaccines through the government's website called thailandintervac.com. The rollout for foreign nationals has begun alongside the country's mass vaccination scheduled to start back on June 7.

In the first phase, the vaccine would be distributed to diplomats, international organization staff, consular representatives, and foreign nationals who are 60 years old and above as well as those with underlying diseases, which include

  • Severe Chronic Respiratory Diseases (CRDs)
  • Coronary artery disease (CAD)
  • Chronic kidney disease (CKD) (5th stage)
  • Stroke
  • Cancer patients receiving chemotherapy
  • Diabetes
  • Obesity (weight > 100 kg or BMI > 35 kg/m²).

The Department of Disease Control has issued a statement promising that all expats would receive the jabs.

Anyone who wishes to receive the vaccines can register and reserve a date via thailandintervac.com. The system opens for registration every day from 12:00 to 15:00. The available vaccines, as stated on the website, are Sinovac and AstraZenaca. (Johnsons & Johnsons and Moderna appear to be the alternatives in the future.)

At the time of writing, the inoculation for expats will be carried on at these three locations (where English speaking staff will be available):

  • MedPark Hospital (3333 Rama IV Road, Khlong Toei, Khlong Toei, Bangkok)
  • Vimut Hospital (500, Phahonyothin Road, Samsen Nai, Phaya Thai, Bangkok)
  • Phyathai 2 Hospital (943, Phahonyothin Road, Samsen Nai, Phaya Thai, Bangkok)

Bangkok Hospital Pattaya and Bangrak Vaccination and Health Center are listed as the locations set to open soon.
