The Haunting of Hill House
If you haven't, adding this American supernatural horror program to your must-see list now. Created and directed by horror favorite Milke Flanagan, The Haunting of Hill House is based on the 1959 novel of the same name by Shirley Jackson and 1999 movie The Haunting. The series follows a story of past and present of a fractured family that are confronts by haunting memories of their old home and the terrifying events that drove them from it.
Train to Busan
Train to Busan is probably a good choice for those don't want to go to bed with all the lights on. Starring Asia's sweetheart Gong Yoo, this Korean action/thriller flick imagines a zombie apocalypse in South Korea, in which Gong Yoo does everything to save his daughter. It's less about running away from zombies and more about family. You might end up in tears.
Laddaland
Shot on the real haunting house location, Laddaland promises to give you the real chill. The critically-acclaimed movie tells the story of a family that moves into a house where they encountered a series of terrifying supernatural events, that lead them to the edge of sanity.
Shutter
Praised as one of the best Thai horror movies, Shutter focuses on Jane (Natthaweeranuch Thongmee) and her photographer boyfriend, Tun (Ananda Everingham), who start spotting a mysterious figure in developed images photographed by Tun after their involvement in a car accident. The story then develops into unexpected, shocking twists in the end. The movie was a huge box office success in Thailand and worldwide.
