The Michelin-starred Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura is one of the most celebrated restaurants in Florence. And its co-executive chefs, husband-and-wife duo Karime López and Takahiko ‘Taka’ Kondo, will return to Thailand to whip up two dinners at the lavish Rosewood Phuket on August 11 and 12.
The Mexico-born López and Kondo, who’s Japanese, are the right-hand chefs of Massimo Bottura, the esteemed chef and founder of Gucci Osteria. The couple is known for “renarrating” modern Italian cuisine using influences from their intertwining roots, cultures, and travels in the style they call Nuove Memorie (“new memories” in Italian).

Their Phuket pop-up will feature five courses, including a dish inspired by their early days in Italian kitchens and another that recollects their childhood memories. Each course will be made with the finest ingredients from around the world and Phuket.
The Gucci Osteria Florence Dinner is priced at B9,000 with wine pairing. You can also join a cooking class for B6,000 per person. Call 076 356 888 for reservations.
