As the alleged availability of COVID-19 vaccines is nearly possible for Thai people, the government has prepared to unveil a new online platform that allows convenience for vaccine reservation.
The Facebook page of @ThaigovSpokesman (in Thai: ไทยคู่ฟ้า) published a post on April 21 that they would launch an official LINE account under the name "MorProm" (Doctor Ready) on May 1 as an online platform for people to reserve a date for the vaccination at their preferred hospital.
The application process is, in their words, "convenient, fast, and safe", which can be managed via messaging app LINE. Attached to the post is a video demonstrating 12 functions of MorProm as followed:
- Add MorProm to your friend list and register with your ID number and telephone number.
- In case of registering on behalf of your relatives, select the "add more person" button, indicate the relationship between you and the person, and then fill up the ID number and telephone number of the person.
- Register for the COVID-19 vaccine application and receive a notification for an authorization.
- Reserve a date: the app will ask to do a screening test and pick a date and hospital you prefer.
- If you want to change a date, select the information of the first dose and then change a date to the one you prefer. The system will send a confirmation message.
- The app will notify you one day before the date of your reservation.
- After the first dose, the app will keep track if you're having any side effects.
- The app will ask to review your health after receiving the first dose on day 1, 7, and 30.
- The app will notify the date of your second dose.
- After the second dose, the app will keep track if you're having any side effects.
- The app will issue a certificate via a QR code.
- The app will ask to review your health after receiving the second dose on day 1, 7, and 30.
MorProm Application will be launched on LINE on May 1 and available for Thai citizens as of now. For expats, please stay tuned for more details.
