Not too long after Backstage Cocktail Bar announced that it is bidding its final goodbyes last week, another piece of sad news has broken out: Find the Photo Booth, the bar set in a “secret location” on Soi Sukhumvit 11, has also announced that it was closing down.

“The entire team is very sorry that we couldn’t at least throw a final party, but we have learnt during these 2 years that it is tough to have anything going your way,” declared a post on the bar’s official Facebook page.

First opened in April 2018, Find the Photo Booth was founded by four high-profile figures in Asia’s bar scene: Colin Chia of Singapore’s Nutmeg & Clove, Hidetsugu Ueno of Tokyo’s Bar High Five, Nick Wu of Bar Mood Taipei, and Thailand’s very own Ronnaporn “Neung” Kanivichaporn. The speakeasy was quickly established as a go-to nocturnal venue for those seeking a high-energy atmosphere and creative tipples.

But the Photo Booth team has hinted that this is not the last you’ll see of them. “We want to stress that this is just ‘See You Again’ and not goodbye as we will be working hard to find another location to re-launch #FindThePhotoBooth and bring fantastic live music, high-energy vibes with delicious cocktails to you,” the post also said. “We want to thank everyone for your love and support since day 1 and we look forward to hosting you behind your favourite Photo Booth!”
