This December, the up and coming BTS Gold Line will jumpstart its first phase, with the rail expanding for 1.8 kilometers long across three stations, including Krung Thonburi Station, Charoen Nakhon Station, and Klong San Station. The fee is priced at B15 throughout the line.
The Gold Line began its construction back in 2018. The train is also engineered by means of Bombardier Innovia APM 300, an automated/driverless system with rubber tires manufactured in China’s Anhui province, which run at a maximum of 80km/h and has a capacity of 138 commuters per carriage.
This new sky train line will pass Bangkok’s grand attraction ICONSIAM at Charoen Nakhon Station. The future phase will see the line connect with the MRT Purple and SRT Dark Red lines, in addition to the Green (Silom) Lines.
