Remember all the adrenaline-packed scenes of Ghostbusters or the chaotically fun world of Jumanji? These blockbusters are produced by Columbia Pictures, one of the most successful studios in Hollywood, and you’ll be thrilled to know that these movies will soon come to life at Pattaya.

This coming October, Columbia Pictures will open its new amusement park Aquaverse at Bang Saray, Chon Buri. It will be the studio’s first venture in Thailand, and will feature attractions inspired by popular flicks such as Ghostbusters, Jumanji, Bad Boys, Men in Black, and Hotel Transylvania.

According to Variety, Aquaverse will comprise eight different zones. First up is Men in Black Thrill Rides, which will feature rip-roaring water coaster rides, including one with a 12-meter free-fall feature that’ll suck you right into an MIB Wormhole. Ghostbusters Supernatural Experience will offer more hair-raising thrills in the world’s first and only fully-enclosed water dome.

You can also fulfill your need for speed in a massive outdoor go-kart track inspired by Bad Boys and its Miami setting, take an exhilarating journey through the deep forest at Jumanji Jungle Adventure, or show off your board skills at Surf’s Up in Surfers Paradise. More kid-friendly rides and attractions are offered at the Hotel Transylvania zone.

Columbia Pictures Aquaverse is a collaborative project with Sony Pictures Entertainment and Amazon Falls, and is scheduled to open to the public in October 2021.
