The Chinese New Year celebration 2021 in Bangkok's Chinatown Yaowarat is officially called off according to Bangkok Metropolitan Administrator. Governor Asawin Kwanmuang announced earlier today (February 4) that the annual fair would not be carried on this year because of the ongoing health crisis imposed by COVID-19. The administrators is concerned that the celebration could lead to a mass gathering in Chinatown, hence the risk to all participants' health safety.
