Ask any foodie where they serve some of the best chicken rice in Bangkok, and they’ll most likely point you to Ruenton restaurant at the Montien Hotel. Last year, the long-standing hotel underwent a head-to-toe facelift, including the famed dining venue, which has been dishing out Hainanese chicken rice since the 1950s.
Eighteen months later, Ruenton is ready to welcome you back, with a much larger dining space and the same good eats. Amnuay Aneksuwan is the current head chef, tasked to deliver this house specialty, which is now served as a B320 set comprising a generous serving of boiled chicken, oil-cooked rice and four kinds of dipping sauce. Have this signature dish with a selection of Cantonese dishes like rad na (fried rice noodles with seafood gravy) and dim sum.
