Officially named Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, this elegant property is set on the nine-acre Chao Phraya Estate mega-development project next to Shrewsbury International School. A celebration of art and craftsmanship, the hotel will be home to 299 guestrooms and suites decorated by celebrated designer Jean-Mitchel Gathy (Capella Sanya, Aman Venice, etc.) in what looks like Asian-inspired minimalist fashion, and a dedicated art gallery managed by the Museum of Contemporary Art Bangkok. Staycationers would, of course, want to experience the hotel’s luxurious rooms, but they are also in for a tasty treat as the Four Seasons is launching two new dining outlets—Chinese restaurant Yu Ting Yuan, led by Michelin-starred chef Qui Xiaogui; and BKK Social Club (see a picture below), a Buenos Aires-influenced watering hole spearheaded by award-winning mixologist Philip Bischoff, the former bar manager at Singapore’s Manhattan Bar

This isn’t the first time the Four Seasons has established a presence in Bangkok. The Canadian-born hospitality haven first came to the city in 1992, taking over what was The Regent Hotel. It parted ways with its major local stakeholders in 2014, and the remaining structure is now the Anantara Siam Bangkok. There are three other Four Seasons properties in Thailand—one resort each in Chiang Mai and Koh Samui, and a set of very unique and luxurious tented camp accommodations in Chiang Rai.
