Celebrate World Music Day with this live-streaming event

The Embassy of France in Thailand has teamed up with Alliance Française de Bangkok and SO/Bangkok to bring back La Fête de la Musiquean annual celebration of music, on 20 - 21 June.

Premiered in France in 1982, The World Music Day (the English name for La Fête de la Musique) aims to shine a spotlight on up-and-coming and well-known artists. For this year's celebration, the music-focused event will feature DJ sets, performances by French, Thai and international musicians, film screening, and more.

On 20 June, United We Stream Asia, a non-profit live-streaming initiative set up to help music venues survive Covid-19 lockdown, will collaborate for live-streaming DJ sets at Studio Lam. Not to miss for movie buffs is an offline screening of French Waves, a documentary about the history of French electronic music, at Alliance Française. On 21 June, Thai and French artists, such as Valentina Ploy, Macadam Crocodile, Calling Marian, will be performing live gig from SO/Bangkok.
