The Sahamongkol Film Outdoor Screening returns to Kaset Fair 2025, an event that has become a highlight for film lovers. From romantic tales and heart-wrenching dramas to laugh-out-loud comedies and edge-of-your-seat thrillers, this outdoor cinema experience has it all. It takes place from January 31 to February 8 and it’s completely free!

This year, the event continues its tradition of screening blockbuster films on a giant outdoor screen, transforming Kasetsart University’s campus into an open-air cinema for nine consecutive nights. So, what’s on the agenda? Starting each evening at 7pm, here’s a sneak peek of the schedule:

  • Love of Siam (2007) – January 31

Two childhood friends are parted by the disappearance of one’s sister. Years later,
they reunite as teenagers – one now a pop singer – and uncover emotions they
        hadn’t realised existed.

  • Now You See Me 2 (2016) – February 1

The Four Horsemen resurface, and are forcibly recruited by a tech genius to pull
off their most daring heist yet.

  • The Unborn (2003) – February 2

After waking up in a hospital to discover that she has been pregnant for ten
weeks, a drug addict begins to e
xperience vivid hallucinations.

  • The Childe (2023) – February 3

The Childe follows a man of Korean-Filipino descent aspiring to be a boxer.
He returns to Korea searching for his father and becomes entangled with
        dangerous individuals.

  • Low Season (2020) – February 4

A girl with a unique gift for seeing ghosts breaks up with her boyfriend and, tired
of city life, heads to a remote northern resort alone during the off-season.

  • Yam Yasothon (2005) – February 5

Set in 1967 Yasothon, Thailand, the story follows Yam, a humble farmer who has
little patience for Joei, his cousin’s girlfriend’s maid, who flirts with him
         relentlessly.

  • Khun Pan 3 (2023) – February 6

Sorcerer-cop Khun Pan is persuaded to take on a perilous mission, tracking two
bandits and uncovering a conspiracy that shakes his beliefs.

  • Arbat (2015) – February 7

A young man is forced to become a monk at a rural temple, where he learns to
accept his guilt and change his ways.

  • The Beekeeper (2024) – February 8

A kind-hearted landlady takes her own life after falling for a phishing scam,
prompting former beekeeper Adam Clay to seek brutal revenge on those
        responsible.

It’s not all about the films though. There will also be special character displays from Khun Pan 3 and John Wick 4, so if you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to stand next to a life-sized movie character, now’s your chance.

The event will be hosted at the plaza in front of Lecture Hall 1, across from the Graduate School at Kasetsart University’s Bangkhen campus. If you’re planning to pop by, there are multiple ways to get there.

  • By car: Drive via Phahonyothin or Vibhavadi Rangsit Roads. Parking is available around the campus.
  • By BTS: Hop off at the Kasetsart University station (Green Line) and take a short walk.
  • By bus: Buses 26, 34, 39, 59, 104, 126, 185 and 503 will drop you at the campus entrance.
