One of the much-awaited luxurious accommodations by the Chao Phraya River, Capella Bangkok, the first Thailand property of the Singaporean hotel brand, has opened its doors to the public from today.
Capella Bangkok is the brand’s fifth undertaking overseas, following properties in Ubud, Shanghai, Sanya and Dusseldorf. It is located on Charoenkrung Road in the same compound as the soon-to-open Four Seasons Bangkok Hotel.
Design studio Hamiltons, BAMO and PIA joined hands to give Capella Bangkok one-of-a-kind understated luxurious aesthetics. The perfect combination of minimal architecture and East-meets-West interiors aims at re-narrating the culturally-mixed history of Charoenkrung, one of Bangkok's first international ports, where the hotel now stands.
The understated riverside resort houses 101 guestrooms—seven of which are villas, making Capella one of the very few Bangkok hotels to feature this type of room. All rooms—even the smallest ones—own expansive sunset-over-the-river views, sprawling in through floor-to-ceiling windows and river-facing balconies. Other luxurious facilities and services given to guests include upmarket toiletries and choices of ropes and pillows. For pet lovers, Capella Bangkok allows one dog per room for an extra B3,000 a night.
Also open today are what could become Charoenkrung's new dining and wining hotspots: Thai restaurant Phra Nakhon, French eatery Cote by star-studded chef Mauro Colagreco, and art deco watering hole Stella.
Introductory rates start from B17,500 per night, inclusive of a daily B3,000 to B8,000 cash credit, daily breakfast, free non-alcoholic drinks from the minibar and a roundtrip limo transfer for villa guests. Call 02 098 3888 or click here.
