After around two weeks of the dine-in restriction, the food scene in the city is coming back next week—sort of. Tonight (May 15), it is announced on The Royal Gazette that all food outlets in Bangkok can reopen for dine-in service from May 17.

In detail, Bangkok is still labeled as a dark-red zone, but in the recent announcement from the government, all the restaurants in the area are allowed to serve in-house customers. However, eating in is permitted until 21:00, and only 25% of the capacity of each restaurant can be opened to provide the service. In the meantime, takeaway and delivery services can still be operated until 23:00. Alcohol sales for on-site consumption remain prohibited.

The Royal Gazette also further reinforces that the public must strictly practice social distancing and wear a face mask properly at all times when entering any public spaces.
