It seems like the authorities love to keep us confused when it comes to vaccine appointments. Another day, another new policy that seems to clash against the preceding one—or ones, sometimes.

Today (May 26), on Vesak Day when devoted Buddhists ought not to tell lies, the Center of Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) spokesperson team took to the virtual press conference to announce updates on the current pandemic situation in Thailand.

When it came to the part involving the COVID-19 rollout plan, CCSA spokesman Thaweesilp Visanuyothin announced that the authorities have decided to "put off" the vaccine booking process on MorProm, the government's central vaccine appointment platform, until further notice, and urged all Thai citizens to opt for locally-developed platforms such as Bangkok's Thai Ruam Jai website that is set to go live on May 27 at noon. The spokesman noted that those who have booked their jabs on MorProm and have their appointments scheduled can just stick to the dates. MorProm, for now, will serve as a central data unit for collecting all side-effect information and issuing vaccine certificates.

Thaweesilp, however, didn't elaborate on the IT capability of each province.

It is also asserted that, according to the limited number of vaccine supplies, there will be an adjustment in vaccine allocation around the country—again.
