Negroni Week is a chance for you to rub shoulders with visiting barmen from around the region. Here are the shifts you won’t want to miss. 

Monday 18 September

BKK Social Club

Negroni Week in Thailand opens at BKK Social Club at the Four Seasons. Number 14  on the list of World’s 50 Best Bars 2022, the swanky venue will host Giorgio Bargiani, 1757 Cinzano Vermouth di Torino Global Brand Advocate and Assistant Director of Mixology at London’s Connaught Bar, for one night only.

Tuesday 19 September

Lennon’s and Siam Yacht Club

Joe Schofield, creative director of Asterley Bros and heralded the International Bartender of The Year in 2018 by Tales of The Cocktail Spirited Awards, will take over the bar of Lennon’s at Rosewood Hotel. By the river, Royal Orchid Sheraton’s Siam Yacht Club will host Noppasate Hirunwathit, the winner of the Wild Turkey Behind the Barrel Thailand Competition in 2019.

Wednesday 20 September

Rabbit Hole and Thaipioka

Rabbit Hole plays host to George Kavaklis, co-founder of Athens’ first tequila car Barro Negro, while Thaipioka sees a takeover by 2021 World Class Taiwan champion Mars Chang.

Thursday 21 September

The Loft, Oskar Bistro, Zuma Bangkok and SoCal

Waldorf’s The Loft will open its bar to the creative ministries of Nick Sourmpatis, Greece’s Diageo Bartender of the Year 2012 and the head Bartender of The Clumsies Bar in Athens. 

Next door at Zuma Bangkok, try Japanese-inspired Negronis by seven Italian bartenders all experts in the classic drink, Mario la Pietra (Neon Pigeon, Singapore), Mario Calderone (Duddles, Hong Kong), Giuseppe Carneli (Bangkok), Matteo Cadeddu (Opium, Bangkok), Giovanni Andrea Magliaro (Kuala Lumpur), Fabio Brugnolaro (Copper Bar, Bangkok) and Filippo Sanchi (Lennon's, Rosewood Bangkok). 

At Oskar on Soi Sukhumvit 11, award-winning Taiwanese bartender Kou-Hao Wu will take over the bar for one night. In Ratchaprasong, prolific mixologist Jane Kaew-yod will be slinging together flavorful creations at the newly-opened SoCal at the InterContinental. 

Zuma will play host to seven Italian bartenders all experts in the classic drink, Mario la Pietra (Neon Pigeon, Singapore), Mario Calderone (Duddles, Hong Kong), Giuseppe Carneli (Bangkok), Matteo Cadeddu (Opium, Bangkok), Giovanni Andrea Magliaro (Kuala Lumpur), Fabio Brugnolaro (Copper Bar, Bangkok) and Filippo Sanchi (Lennon's, Rosewood Bangkok).

Friday 22 September

Ms.Jigger, Firefly Bar, and Diplomat Bar

Ms.Jigger at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok will host guest bartender Fabio Nanni, while Firefly Bar at the nearby Sindhorn Kempinski will welcome Alexandre Renoue. At Diplomat Bar at Conrad Bangkok, Matteo Cadeddu, the Sardinia-born, Bangkok-based head bartender and beverage manager of Opium Bar, will put his own twist on the Negroni.

Saturday 23 September

Gir, Woo Bar at W Koh Samui, Nomada Beach Club

Victor Arguello Maggiolo, talented mixologist and head bartender of Amaro Bar in London, will rock Gir at Thonglor with his creative Negroni creations. There are two other shifts on 23 September, but out of town. Jan Kaew-yod will shake things up in more ways than one at Nomada Beach Club at Dusit Thani Hua Hin, while weekenders in Koh Samui can say hello to Noppasate Hirunwathit at W’s Woo Bar.

Sunday 24 September

AQUA Bar

AQUA Bar at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel will cap off Negroni Week with a special Negroni menu.
