Bangkok’s natural green lung, Bang Krachao saved from new commercial structures around the area

The Thai government ended February on a high (following the legalization of marijuana for medical use ) with the legislation of a new environmental control law that will protect Bang Krachao in Samut Prakarn, considered Bangkok’s natural green lung. In addition to thwarting the construction of new commercial structures around the area, the law released on Feb 28 prevents any new construction and alteration of current buildings for commercial use (hotels, shophouses, piers, golf course, etc). Those who love biking around the area can now rest knowing no harm will come to this lush area.
