One thing we all missed the last couple of years was enjoying the live classical music performances that took place in public parks during the breezy season. Post-COVID, we would flock to Lumphini Park every January to listen to the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra play chillax tunes, from classic symphonies to Disney favorites. Now that the pandemic is over, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has decided to bring back this musical series.

Even better, they’re staging it at as many as 10 parks around the city and have expanded the playlist to include more modern and timely songs, thanks to a collaboration with popular music labels and producers such as Spicy Disc and Muzik Muve.

Music in the Park takes place every Sat and Sun, from around 5pm, until 29 Jan. Here are the locations:

21 January

  • Benchasiri Park
  • Serithai Park

22 January

  • Chalerm Phrakiat Park - Bangkok Noi
  • Chalerm Phrakiat Park - Rama 9 Bridge
  • Rama 8 Park
  • Museum Siam

28 January

  • Benchasiri Park
  • Serithai Park
  • Bangkok Youth Center Din Daeng

29 January

  • Chalerm Phrakiat Park - Bangkok Noi
  • Chalerm Phrakiat Park - Rama 9 Bridge
  • Rama 8 Park
  • Museum Siam

All performances are free of charge. Please note that alcoholic drinks are not allowed in the parks.
