While the complaints about how COVID-19 has effed up almost everyone around the world haven't completely watered down, Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel is still going strong in its own game during this strange time and now ready to introduce a new member under its roof.
That new member is Lost & Found, an extravagant speakeasy-style bar with a peculiar concept designed by none but Australian design mastermind Ashley Sutton—who awed Bangkok (and beyond) with magical drinking holes like Iron Fairies, Maggie Choo’s (remain closed), and Sing Sing Theater. He came up with a fictional story of a hedonist hideout for the elites that was long abandoned and now re-discovered by the young outcasts in search of a space to express their true selves.
This storyline continues to inspire the bar’s “bolthole”-shaped interior, which is elegantly decked out to mimic a retro imagination of space travels. Lost & Found will regularly host head-turning shows from LGBTQ+ performers—like drag and theater shows—as well as serving tantalizing food and drinks.
Rumor has it that Lost & Found has taken many years to develop, and now it's more than ready to open its sealed gate to welcome all "boundary-bending lost souls" on Nov 11. We can't tell you the exact location just yet—we've only been informed its "somewhere" in the same building as the Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel. So be prepared to follow the thirsty crowds.
