Pongsakorn Kwanmuang, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration spokesperson, announced at the press conference earlier today that all alcohol sales will be banned in Bangkok for 11 days, effective on 10 April, as a measure to reduce social gatherings amidst COVID-19 pandemic.

The ban on alcohol sales will be effective from midnight of 10 April as a measure to halt partying and promote social distancing during the Songkran holidays that have already been postponed. You have until 22:00 tonight to stock up your booze supply!

Ten other provinces have also banned the sales of alcohol so far: Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Chonburi, Sakon Nakhon, Rayong, Buriram, Mukdahan, Suphanburi, Nakhon Pathom and Surin.
