Sukhumvit has just welcomed three new hotels. That means more elegant dining options for gastrophiles.
Hyatt Regency Sukhumvit
The 273-room Hyatt Regency is a soaring 31-story structure located in the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi Sukhumvit 13. Market Cafe, the hotel’s main eatery, offers Thai food (surprisingly good) within a floating market-inspired setting. They’re putting in final touch-ups on their rooftop bar, Spectrum, which should be open by the end of March.
Hotel Nikko
Just opened in Thonglor, the 301-room Japan-born Hotel Nikko is looking to tempt food lovers with two restaurants: The Oasis, which offers all-day meals, and Hishou, which puts tempura and sake on center stage. Other dining outlets include a lobby lounge and one pool bar.
Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 4
Room-wise, the new Novotel in Soi Sukhumvit 4 is no different from the other Novotel hotels in the city. (It even shares the building with an Ibis.) And just like other Novotel branches, it has a Food Exchange as its main dining space. What makes it a little different is RedSquare, the pool bar on the 25th floor that claims to be the city’s only vodka rooftop bar.
