As of today (October 22, 2020), The Royal Gazette has published a statement signed by Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-o-cha, confirming that the emergency decree in Bangkok area is now dropped. The decision came after the authority deemed the situation less chaotic and more manageable for the government to control the threat to national security and the monarchy, hence the imposition of the decree back on October 15.
Thailand has recently seen a rise in political movements by anti-government and pro-democracy demonstrators around the country, mostly emerging in Bangkok. The protests have been going on peacefully yet powerfully, in spite of collisions between the pro-government and anti-government groups.
