After the government's order to shut down multiple venues across the capital city announced back on Jan 1, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) today (Jan 21) announced that from midnight of Jan 22 the restrictions will be lifted off 13 types of businesses, which are:
- Game arcades
- Game and internet cafes
- Daycare centers
- Sports stadiums
- Conference venues
- Amulet centers
- Beauty clinics
- Gyms and fitness centers
- Spa and Thai massage venues
- Boxing rings and stadiums, only for practice purposes
- Bowling alleys, roller- and ice-skating rinks
- Dancesport venues
- Martial arts schools
All venues not mentioned above, such as nightclubs, bars, sports racing venues, schools, and educational institutes, will have to remain shut.
Shopping centers, restaurants, hair salons, convention centers, meeting rooms, hotel meeting rooms, public parks, swimming pools, nursing homes, movie theaters, and zoos can operate as usual.
