It’s a wrap! The prelude edition of Time Out’s light festival Awakening Bangkok has officially ended with brightening lighting installation artworks by local artists that RE:KINDLE(d) the Samyan neighborhood for the past ten days.
Despite being only a compact-sized exhibition, Awakening Samyan: The Prelude still received much love from big hordes of visitors coming to get inspired by the showcases after months of Bangkok’s lockdown.
We would like to thank everyone who gave us the support from start to finish to make this dazzling event happen. But we won’t go anywhere, as the Awakening festival will return sooner than you expected next January with Awakening Bangkok 2021 in Charoenkrung!
Keep your eyes (literally) peeled for more information here, and mark the date! Between January 14-23, we will bring all the lights back to Charoenkrung and Talad Noi as well as the extension to Soi Nana in Chinatown.
Awakening Bangkok 2021 is hosted by Time Out with support from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and location sponsors Property Management of Chulalongkorn University (PMCU), Suanluang Square, and Dragon Town.
