Thailand and Japan are celebrating a long-bonding diplomatic relationship—136 years, to be exact. And to celebrate this decades-long alliance, Siam Paragon and the Embassy of Japan in Thailand are hosting an exciting event that you wouldn’t want to miss.
Titled “Siam Paragon The Wondrous Heritage of Japan”, the four-day event will feature shows, activities, and workshops that best represent the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun. The biggest highlights are show-stopping sumo wrestling performances where former professional wrestlers come together to demonstrate this revered sport. The Komusubi-ranked wrestler Jokoryu tops the bill, and many other sumo pros, like Bungo Nishiki, Kumako, and Kotootori, will also make an appearance.
Acquaint yourself with the performance arts of Japan by catching a spirit-lifting taiko drum set as well as a captivating Japanese Yosakoi (a high-energy group dance often performed at summer festivals) show.

For more hands-on experiences, join a series of workshops on origami and creating clay Daruma dolls.

It won’t be a real Japanese fair without sweet and savory treats. Browse through a huge array of shops and bag home some Japanese snacks as well as souvenirs. And you can't miss getting your hands on gashapon art toys created by a group of passionate young artists SalaArte.

For those looking to have a holiday in Japan, don’t miss the chance to grab a good deal from Japan Airlines!
