No more getting confused with the red burger diner in Langsuan, because the original Shake Shack is coming to Bangkok next year!

Yesterday (May 2), the official Facebook page of the New York-born burger restaurant shook the Thai netizens by announcing the arrival of the first branch of Shake Shack in Thailand. “Sawasdee, Thailand! We’ll be serving ShackBurgers in The Land of Smiles soon.”

Shake Shack started out first in Madison Square Garden back in 2001 merely as a hot dog stand and has since extended its burger empire to other parts of the world and now has over 370 establishments, including ones in Singapore, Hong Kong, and soon-to-be-open in Malaysia.

Taken from the official press release, Hong Kong-based investor Maxim’s Caterers Limited (who also imported the likes of Ippudo to Thailand) has acquired the Shake Shack license and aims to open 15 branches in Thailand within 2032. More info regarding the debut of the flagship store is still unannounced.
