Pongsakorn Kwanmuang, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration spokesperson, announced at the press conference earlier today that the ban on alcohol sales in Bangkok, which was extended to be lifted today (20 April), will be extended to 30 April.
The ban of alcohol sales, declared on 10 April, was a measure to prevent party and social gathering during the Songkran holiday to curb the spread of COVID-19 nationwide. BMA announced it will extend the ban for 10 more days despite a drop in confirmed cases in the country.
