The capital's popular art festival Bangkok Design Week has taken off in full force this weekend throughout the creative district of Charoenkrung. This year's theme 'Resurgence of Possibilities' is set to help all of us city dwellers to explore all the possibilities and potentials we possess to recover from an overdue period of boredom posed by the pandemic.
To help you plan out a fun-filled, inspiration-driven weekend out and about in the city, we have rounded up all the biggest highlights of Bangkok Design Week and made it into a full schedule for you to follow along from midday down to the dusk.

[12:00-13:00] Experience the cruelty of xenophobia imposed on Chinese immigrants in the past.
You can start off the day at The Intruder, an exhibition inspired by the stories of the Chinese community that underwent discrimination by Thai citizens in the past. In the exhibition, you will experience the discomfort of being an intruder by two performers living in the old house.

[13:30-14:00] Discover fascinating stories of Thai-oriented items.
Take a little walk to Soi Charoenkrung 30 and visit an art showcase by local design studio Design PLANT that proudly presents a big array of products and furniture from Thailand that are accepted by regional and global markets in this exhibition under the theme "Domestic." The exhibition takes place at ATT 19 and there's a cafe in front of the gallery where you can also have a brief rest and get a good cuppa together with a sweet treat to boost up for the next spot.
The exhibition limits the participants at 20 people per round/30 mins.

[14:30-15:30] Get inspired the concept of sustainability by a big cast of talented designers.
After a short break at ATT 19, you can stop by at the next spot in Thailand Creative Design Center (TCDC). At the front lobby, you will get to explore two exhibitions by Creative Economy Agency (CEA): Made in Charoenkrung and What Makes a Creative City?. Moreover, you can draw more inspiration from miniature craft to unique furniture by sustainability-focused designers in the MDIC room and Back Gallery.

[16:00-18:00] Fulfill your artsy soul with more art events in O.P. Place.
Stroll around O.P. Place where engrossing showcases and exhibitions are located. Don’t miss the architectural installation—W$J+uL2-X63, FXR TXMXRRXW—with the concept aimed to unearth Thai beliefs and hope by STUX2.

[19:00-20:00] End the day by witnessing the mesmerizing projection mapping art.
After walking all day, let’s take a rest and watch a stunning Projection Mapping under the title Wish (Hope) from 19 finalists. The show is available two rounds per day: 19:00 - 20:00 / 20:00 - 21:00. Don’t forget to reserve a seat. You can register for free here.
