Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: The Opening Ceremony

Originally scheduled to take off last year, the 2020 edition of the world's biggest summer sports event is finally set to carry on this year in the capital of the Land of the Rising Sun. You can witness the greatness of the opening ceremony this Friday from 18:00 onwards. It's Japan, so you can expect a lot of jaw-dropping moments.

Available for streaming via NBT2HD, ThaiPBS (3), JKN18, True4U (24), GMM25, PPTVHD 36, TSports Channel.

Kingdom: Ashin of the North

As a mysterious disease devastates her tribe, Ashin dives into the wilderness to hunt down a strange plant that could mean a cure and hope for her people.

Whatever questions you have about this Kingdom, be it the origin of that deadly (and undead?) plant or the beginning of the pandemic, you will discover them all from this prequel of this critically-acclaimed Korean series filled with high thrills. If you're into the zombie genre, find more gore-filled great stuff here.

Available for streaming via Netflix.

Extraordinary Siamese Story: Eng and Chang

Based on the world's amazing story of IRL conjoined twins Eng and Chang Bunker, the series by local studio Kantana takes you on a journey with these world-famous Siamese twins in North Carolina during their 30s wherein they are attempting to settle down there and secure a romantic relationship with the Yates sisters.

The Eng and Chang series promises to take Thai shows to a global standard with impressive productions and interesting narratives of the Siamese twins that touch on their personal lives rather than portraying them as freaks. There are 13 weekly episodes throughout the entire run of the show, and three episodes have been released so far. It's time to know more about what truly happens in the life of Siamese Twins.

Available for streaming via Disney+ Hotstar.

Ted Lasso (Season 2)

The story of American football coach, Ted Lasso, hired to coach a (fictional) English Premier League team, AFC Richmond, is back for a sophomore season that picks up where it left off after the team lost to Manchester City and received relegation. Ted and his quirky crew have to start over and get through all the awaiting adversities to help AFC Richmond rise again.

Named by wide-ranging publications as one of the best comedy series in a really long time, Ted Lasso is now a hallmark of up-and-coming Apple TV+. While the show seems to be questionable with the eyebrow-raising plot about an American coach who doesn't know anything about, in his word, soccer, the show turns out to be a comedy gold with a heart-warming storyline and a highly likeable cast. Plus, you don't have to be a football buff to enjoy this show. Trust us, it's that good.

The first season is fully available on Apple TV+, and the second season will be premiered on July 23 with one episode released every Friday.

Monsters at Work

Scarers are out! Jokesters are in! The city of Monstropolis has now fully turned to using laughters as a major source of power, which unfortunately affects Tylor Tuskmon, a recent Scare Major graduate from Monsters University, who plans to work his way up to the scare floor.

Not in a mood for anything too serious? Log into Disney+ Hotstar and have your heart warmed up with a big back catalog of feel-good animations, including Monsters at Work, the spin-off of everyone's favorite Monsters, Inc franchise. This one's a good choice as well if you're looking for something to enjoy with your little ones.

Available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar one episode per week. 3 out of 9 have been premiered so far.

The Good Doctor

Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon who has to relocate to the prestigious San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital in California, has to prove himself as a good doctor despite his autism and troubled past.

Of all the shows added to Netflix Thailand, there's nothing that has made massive waves across the bingers like this medical drama series. All first three seasons are now entirely available for streaming, so that means you can now witness why everyone's still talking about how brilliant the series is.

Three seasons are available for streaming on Netflix.

Loki

God of Mischief, Loki is arrested for breaking the law of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) but given a second chance to do good deeds by helping the TVA crew catch the bad guy that attempts to mess up the sacred timeline.

Marvel Studio is on a hot streak of releasing both movies and series that never fail to impress both the audiences and critics, and Loki is the latest that has become the talk of the town thanks to its super engaging storyline and how people say it has messed up the whole Marvel universe!

All six episodes are available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

You Are My Spring

An unlikely love story is being told when a hotel concierge and a psychiatrist meet and form a romantic relationship through a murder case. More complications also take part when these two discover that they are each traumatized by some tragic childhood incidents.

If you consider yourself a K-series fan, You Are My Spring can't possibly miss your radar for the binge game this weekend. One thing to note here: the poster of this series can trick you to believe it's a sugar-coated love tale, but no, there's more to dig up underneath the sweet-sounding story.

Available for streaming on Netflix.

How to Become a Tyrant

Even though infamous leaders like Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein caused quite impacts to the world, it's no denying that these figures are interesting enough for us to discover all the reasons why they did what they did.

This docu-series will help you delve more into the lives of notorious dictators, such as Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Idi Amin, Josef Stalin, Muammar Gaddafi and Kim Il-sung. It's a fun and knowledgeable watch we recommend.

Available for streaming on Netflix.
