Music is often referred to as a universal language and today, Thailand’s music scene is undergoing a revolutionary transformation. Young artists are breaking down traditional barriers, reshaping creative expression and redefining what it means to be a performer. As musicians they are also storytellers, creating a dynamic soundscape that challenges expectations, celebrates individuality and resonates beyond borders.

In this collection we spotlight the rising Thai artists and groups pushing the boundaries of art and identity, pathfinders for the country on the global music scene and builders on the legacy

Jeff Satur

Satur reminds us that every step of his journey has been hard-fought, making his well-earned recognition all the more rewarding. This Bangkok-born artist of Thai, Chinese and English descent debuted in 2013 after training with Kamikaze. He deftly shifted between musical labels and stage names and took a brief hiatus from the spotlight in 2019. He made a significant comeback, gaining recognition for his acting ability in KinnPorsche in 2022 and later achieving widespread acclaim for his vocals – always his talent – releasing multiple singles.

In 2023 Satur held his first solo concert. By 2024 he had released his debut album, toured Asia and starred in The Paradise of Thorns, a socially conscious Thai film that was well-received by audiences worldwide.

His latest album, Space Shuttle No. 8, is out now – hop on and journey through life’s emotions with his tracks.

SARAN

At 19 SARAN is already a Thai rap maverick. His journey began at 13 when he applied for a spot on rap competition show The Rapper 2. This was at a time during which he experienced school expulsion and a period of teenage rebellion. Initially falling short in The Rapper 2 finals, SARAN temporarily distanced himself from the genre. However, a period of self-reflection sparked a comeback. In The Rapper 2020: CIVIL WAR, he transformed his earlier setbacks into triumph, ultimately claiming the top title.

Now a well-known lyricist in Thailand’s rap scene, his musical landscape has expanded through many collaborations. SARAN has already released two albums – Hidden World Live Session and Life is Love, both ready for you to stream.

Check out his latest collaborative album, ชานชาลา (translated as Platform), featuring THAOWAN, another up-and-coming Thai artist.

PP Krit

Actor-turned-pop star… he does both with ease. Born Krit Amnuaydechkorn but better known as PP, he bridges acting, modelling and music. More than just a performer, PP represents a new generation of artists who refuse to be confined by traditional entertainment boundaries or gender expectations.

He burst onto the entertainment scene in 2020 with his breakthrough role in the critically acclaimed Boys’ Love series I Told Sunset About You, alongside Billkin, with whom he has shared a parallel career. The pair earned the prestigious Asian Star Prize at the Seoul International Drama Awards. In the music world, PP's equally impressive, releasing chart-topping hits such as I'll Do It How You Like It and Fire Boy.

Give his latest track, ขอโทษละกัน (Friend to Friend), a listen. It is destined to chill alongside other hits at the top of Thailand’s charts.

DREAMGALS

Dreams came true for this talented trio of Thai youths. Fresh, fierce and blessed with musical chops, the group is a special project girl band signed under YUPP! Entertainment. It features MILLI, a familiar face on the local rap scene who put Thailand on the global stage with her Coachella performance and the fresh talents of Flower.far and GALCHANIE.

The trio made their debut in 2024 with the track Sorry, which quickly went viral. Each member has also pursued personal dreams with solo tracks, but it all comes irresistibly together when they unite.

Check out the group’s EP DREAMGAL, as well their latest individual singles: MILLI's I Believe in You, Flower.far's True Colors and GALCHANIE's From Now, It’s My Turn.

ALLY

The talented and amiable Ally (Achiraya Nitibhon) is a familiar face, often seen with her parents – musician Amarin Nitibhon and Thai-American actress Joy Achariya. Growing up surrounded by creativity, Ally's artistic journey really began in 2019 when she was revealed as 411 Entertainment’s first trainee under celebrated Korean idol mentors.

Fast forward to 2020 and Ally debuted with the highly anticipated track How To Love, featuring top Korean rapper Gray. As her fan base grew, she collaborated with global hitmakers like Pink Sweat$ on their track Make It Hot. She has also ventured into acting with a role in the acclaimed Thai series The Believers. Taking on a hot-headed character so unlike her own personality and pulling it off has won her plaudits.

ALLY's new drop, OH MY!, is an expression of unbridled joy–get ready to hit repeat.

BUS

This Thai boyband truly shines. Making the TPOP scene brighter they are also finding their way onto the international stage. Born from the 789 Survival show, in which 24 aspiring talents competed through various missions to form a new idol band, they debuted as a group under the name Because of You I Shine, or more simply BUS.

BUS consists of 12 carefully selected members: Alan, Mark, Khunphol, Hart, Thai, Nex, Phu, Copper, AA, Jung, Phim and Jinwook. Another cute fact drop here: their official fan club is called BEUS (pronounced B-Us), symbolising a desire for everyone to be part of the group. In 2023 they introduced themselves and debuted their eponymous work Because of You, I Shine

Get a glow on with them and enjoy their latest track, Happily Missing You.

BADMIXY

Mixxy started as an Internet personality on Facebook, creating entertaining content before venturing into YouTube as part of a group of five girls called HIWWHEE. The group brought attention to the Thai trans community, amplifying the voices of the LGBTQAI+ community and building on the work of equality pioneers. As her influence grew, Mixxy adopted the stage name BADMIXXY and naturally transitioned into songwriting, collaborating with her friend CHRRISSA on the viral hit B Blood Type and eventually dropping her long-awaited album Bad Story in 2023.

Mixxy further showcased her musical prowess by launching her own label, WANLOVE, from her birth name, Wanchalerm. It is becoming a magnet for potential-filled Thai youth wanting to transcend boundaries and make their own mark in the musical world.

This shooting star’s latest song, Unhappy Newyear, is about healing and overcoming love lost.

ATLAS

Meet ATLAS, the seven-member boyband ranked among the leading faces of TPOP. The crew – Junior, Jet, Poom, Nice, Erwin, Muon and Tad – draw inspiration for their identity from the Titan who carries the world on his shoulder. They blend captivating vocals, smooth choreography and individual charm to deliver hits like Lolay and Mr. Lonely.

Fun fact: their fan club, "Elis," means "wings" in Latin, symbolising fans who soar with them on every journey. The name ATLAS also references a map – because this group is all about guiding fans to new musical horizons.

Get on board and let ATLAS take the lead – the adventure becomes even more thrilling with their latest release, Only One.

MXFRUIT

The TPOP scene received a splash of freshness with the arrival of MXFRUIT, the new girl group from TADA Entertainment. Debuting in 2023, their first single, Strawberry Ice Cream, showcased a sweet, summery energy and quickly went viral. This five-member group – Michaela (MiQuella), Prava (Oppapech), Skawduan, Khanomjean and Rochelle – brings together unique flavours that harmonise into a well-blended whole.

Keep the energy going with their latest single, One More Chance.

ALALA

ALALA, the first-ever girl group from GMM GRAMMY subsidiary White Fox, features four unique individuals – Minnie, Meji, Im and Kris – who represent a new generation of Thai youth with their fresh faces and kick-ass attitude. Their debut single, Cry Out Loud, marked the beginning of their musical journey.

The group’s name is inspired by an ancient Greek war cry, symbolising strength and unity before battle – a fitting reflection of their dynamic blend of singing, dancing and all-round talent. They embody the spirit of GEN ME, celebrating inclusivity while highlighting the individual in all of us.
