Here’s another gig to look forward to in September. Beatrice Lauss or beabadoobee, as indieheads know her, is heading to Bangkok next month for a show—her first in the capital— at Samyan Mitrtown on September 19 in support of her latest album Beatopia.
A talent of UK independent record label Dirty Hit (who also manages popular acts like The 1975, Rina Sawayama, and No Rome), beabadoobee is known for her bedroom pop and alternative rock tunes such as “Death Bed (Coffee for Your Head)" and “Cologne”.
Beatopia is a follow-up to her debut album Fake It Flowers. In this latest offering, we see Lauss mature as a musician as she explores unfamiliar territory such as grunge music, with the help from labelmates Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975.
Tickets for beabadoobee’s Bangkok show are priced at B2,000 and B2,500, and go on sale on August 4 for a pre-sale round, and again from August 5 onwards for general sales via Thaiticketmajor.
