Bangkok can be quite hectic during the festive season—but in a fun way. There are plenty of things to do and places to go. Riverside venue ICONSIAM always goes all out at this time of the year. The entire mall, from top to bottom, is decked out in glorious decor and attractions, with many restaurants and shops doing their bit to contribute to the festive mood.

Here are the exciting things you can do at ICONSIAM in anticipation of 2021.

1. Gawk at illuminated installations created by local and international artists.

This year, the mega-complex recruited Thai and international artists to create jaw-dropping Christmas and lighting decorations that truly embody the spirit of the season, including towering Thai-inspired Christmas trees made by Emmy Awards-winning artist Mike Perry.

2. Shop for the latest fashion and lifestyle items at bargain prices.

Hunt down wonderful presents and festive hampers for your loved ones from hundreds of popular high-end stores and local shops like SOOKSIAM, Siam Takashimaya, ICONCRAFT, Loft, Dear Tummy, and Aland.

To maximize the fun of shopping, the mall has launched "ICONSIAM Magic Comes Alive Celebrating 2020", wherein you can get a Siam Gift Card worth B200 or B500 if you spend B4,000 or B6,000, respectively. The promotion is valid until January 10, 2021.

3. Enjoy scrumptious food along with expansive river views.

‘Tis the season to eat, eat and eat with family and friends. At ICONSIAM, you can indulge in delicious cuisine while taking in relaxing views of the majestic Chao Phraya. Take your pick from an array of riverside eateries and cafés like Blue by Alain Ducasse, Fallabella, Baan Khanitha, Nice to Meat You, Greyhound Café, Hong Bao, and Nara.

On New Year’s Eve, you can book a seat at Napalai Terrace to get front-row access to ICONSIAM’s fireworks display and countdown. For B2,500, you can have your fill of light cocktail fare and soft drinks, and be eligible for a Buy 4 Get 1 Free promotionใ

4. Rock out to live music performances by popular Thai artists on New Year’s Eve.

On the last day of the year, ICONSIAM will extend its opening hours from 10:00 to midnight, and will host a concert featuring top musical acts such as Two Popetorn, Bright Vachirawit, Stamp Apiwat, The TOYS, Slot Machine, Joey Boy, Burin Boonvisut, Pretzelle and many more. Show will start at 18:00.

5. Be dazzled by an amazing—and eco-friendly—fireworks fireworks display.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) joins forces with ICONSIAM to host Bangkok's most spectacular fireworks display on New Year’s Eve. Over 20,000 eco-friendly Japanese fireworks will be lit up across 1,400 meters and within five kilometers on the riverside. The pyrotechnics show will be partitioned into seven acts, each one symbolizing good fortune for the coming year.

6. Be the first to hop on BTS Gold Line's driverless trains to ICONSIAM.

On December 16, the BTS Gold Line will officially operate its driverless trains, with stops at ICONSIAM and other landmark spots in the Charoen Nakhon area. You can be one of the first passengers on the maiden journey. However, ICONSIAM’s free shuttle bus and shuttle boat service will continue to run, providing convenient ways to come and celebrate at the riverside mall. The service for bus and boat will be available until 1:00 am on New Year’s Eve.
