Joyful laughter is coming back to Bangkok very soon, with the upcoming standup routine Why There Is No Hope by none other than the legendary John Cleese.
Best known as one of the founding members of the UK’s classic comedy sketch series Monty Python's Flying Circus, the 82-year-old legendary comedian will set foot in the capital to host the very first comedy performance by an international star in a long time since the pandemic.
Brought to you by Live Nation Tero, Why There Is No Hope is Cleese’s latest world tour that explores the concept of imperfection in the world we live in—in a jolly, laugh-filled way! The funny man’s all-new material was premiered last year in the UK virtually due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
Now that the health crisis has subsided, the Fawlty Towers star is ready to bring the joy out to the world. Cleese is set to perform live on stage in Bangkok at Impact Exhibition Hall 5 on January 11. Tickets are from B1,500 and will be available for purchase from November 26 via Live Nation.
Update: Due to the current pandemic situation posed by the outbreak of the Omicron variant, the show has been postponed until further notice. Those who already purchased the tickets can receive a refund between January 11-31, 2022 at any of Thai Ticket Major's 14 branches.
However, the tickets purchased are still valid for the renewed date of the show, which will be announced soon.
