Goethe-Institut Thailand, in partnership with Major Cineplex, The Thai Film Archive, and Federbräu, brings back the biggest German film festival in Thailand, the German Film Week, during 23-28 May. Now in its fifth year, the German Film Week features the screenings of nine award-winning German movies. One of the highlights is Toni Erdmann, a 2016 tragicomedy about an unusual father-daughter relationship that was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film in the Academy Awards 2017. The opening reception on Monday, 23 May 2017, co-hosted by Federbräu, was presided over by film lovers, film critics, film directors, top media members, and special guests.
