After a six-month renovation—the biggest in its history—Neilson Hays Library’s main building will reopen to the public on 25 Nov. Earlier this year, the managing committee of Neilson Hays decided to renovate the main building of the privately funded library after spotting parts of the structure in disrepair. In May, the library reached out to the public via a crowdfunding platform to raise money for major renovation, estimated to be 10 million baht. The online campaign was well-received by the public and the renovation took place between June and November this year. In the meantime, all books were relocated to a small café situated adjacent to the main building.

To prepare for the reopening, the entire library, which includes the café where the books are presently stored, will be closed from 20 to 24 November.
