Bill Bensley's new Phu Quoc resort is a quirky, Disneyland-influenced Hogwarts in pastel colors

Celebrated hotel architect Bill Bensley has cast his spell once again, this time on a beachfront retreat on Phu Quoc, a Vietnamese island located south of Cambodia. Bensley developed JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay around a fictional academy called Lamarck University, resulting in a massive hotel complex that resembles a giant boarding school. Imagine a Disneyland-influenced Hogwarts in pastel colors. The interiors see Benley’s signature art deco-inspired style, but injected with a lot more color as if the architect had just woken up as Alice in Wonderland.
