The debate over how “hummus” is correctly pronounced still carries on—but the one thing that we can all agree on is that this Middle Eastern dip is a great complement to your meal.

For those who are unfamiliar, hummus is made from mashed chickpeas mixed with tahini and garlic, but some go so far as adding more flavors using lime juice, cumin or zaatar.

We’re not going to delve deep into the origins of the dish—that’d be a long way down the path of history. What’s important is that hummus is now quite popular all over the world as a delicious appetizer that’s paired with crackers or pita bread, or as a side to heavier fare like lamb or falafels.

Luckily, we don’t have to travel out of Thailand to try this dish. Many Middle Eastern and Meditteranean eateries in Bangkok offer it for both dine-in and delivery. So take a glance at the list to get your hands on this moreish dip.
