VASO, the modern tapas bar helmed by celebrated Spanish chef Alvaro Ramos, has unveiled a spin-off venture on the ground floor of centralwOrld’s Groove. Its name alone tells you what to expect. Tapas Music Bar by Vaso combines tasty small plates with lively tunes performed by up-and-coming bands. Complementing this combo are stylish Mediterranean-style decor reminiscent of the beachside hangouts in Ibiza, including an eye-catching moon lantern that has become the bar’s most renowned decorative feature.
Similar to its predecessor, Tapas Music Bar also serves a line-up of dishes tweaked with Thai-fusion elements, including signature dishes like Truffle Toast (B390), Gambas Prawns (B390), and Black Ink Paella (B320). Although there are also some dishes exclusive to this venue, such as Juicy Truffle Paella (B320) and Quickie Burger (B190).
Other dishes worth ordering are Tuna Tataki (B320), which comes with ponzu sauce and avocado, and Podron Peppers (B290), a spicy snack of deep-fried Spanish chilies. Don’t forget to wrap up your meal with the gooey Liquid Chocolate Cake (B290).
